Swift XML Converter version 1.2 released.

  1. Enhancement to quickly add a filter based on a column value in the currently selected row added.
  2. One-click operation to clear current filters added.
  3. Functionality to flatten all data in a table and all its child tables added. When invoked on the root table, a flat view (grid view) of all data in the loaded XML is shown.
  4. Bug fix: After the XML is parsed and queried for a substring, the condition was incorrectly specified to match only data ending with the specified substring.
  5. Speed improvement in queries.
  6. Bug fix: After a document is closed, the list of columns was not flushed out.

Swift XML Converter version 1.1 released.

  1. Support for processing Zip archives added: import XML from within Zip archives without having to unzip the archive first.
  2. Improved interface for specifying XML file URLs.
  3. Data from remote file URLs cached so it is fetched only once per invocation.
  4. CSV and plain text output improved.
  5. Bug fix in merging data from multiple data tables to account for non-existent (NULL) data in child tables.
  6. Option added for normalizing data from repeated XML elements. Data can be inserted into the original table, or can be normalized to a child table (which is linked with the original table).
  7. Bug fix: adding more columns to the query causing crash.
  8. Bug fix: improved handling when selecting multiple XML files in one batch.

  1. Swift XML Converter is an application which allows you to easily extract information from XML files into a Microsoft Excel Spreadsheet (XLS file), Microsoft Access Database (MDB or ACCDB file), CSV (comma separated values file), Text or HTML.
  2. Import one or more XML files and extract selected information to the output format.
  3. Can handle arbitrarily complex XML files.
  4. Extract information from large XML files without running into memory problems.
  5. Information within the XML is handled in an intuitive manner and extracted to separate tables as needed without requiring user intervention.
  6. Select and extract information from specific columns only.
  7. Imports Attribute information too when loading XML.
  8. Apply filters to select the rows for extraction.
  9. Merge and extract data from two or more tables. Merge conditions are automatically figured out depending on the structure of your XML.
